This is just a random blog post that I wanted to share with you guys. If you're having a problem with your Internet Lan cable and it shows "identifying" status, there's an easy step to fix it.
• Disable network device and enable it
• Diagnose the connection > this will show the reason why you are experiencing internet problems and basic troubleshooting steps to fix it.
• Change the internet Lan cable
As we go along with this topic, I'm going to tell you how I fixed mine, that maybe you can do it from your computer.
Okay! So, last week, I bought a new internet Lan cable for my laptop, because my dog [Ishie] bit my cable. I'm not actually having this kind of problem before, where I have to do something on the settings, configure some stuff [na-a]. Somehow, it just keeps on showing "identifying", which is really not GOOD. [because man if you're playing with a wholesome game graphics then you need fast internet, wifi does not work for me, especially in the Philippines]
So, first what you have to do is to check if there could be a problem with the cable, mine was new, so I was expecting that it could be the settings.

If the status shows on the ETHERNET "identifying" proceed to 3rd picture |

Right-click Ethernet > go to Properties |
That should already do the trick. If the following steps didn't work out. Here's the next thing to do.
• Disable network device and enable it
• Diagnose the connection > this will show the reason why you are experiencing internet problems and basic troubleshooting steps to fix it.
• Change the internet Lan cable
