<p> Water is one of the most important things to prepare for in emergencies, natural disasters, power outages, or unexpected situations. A lot of people are starting to build emergency kits at home and one of the most common questions is:</p>Is it safe to store filtered or boiled water in a container for a long time?<br /><br />The short answer is yes, but only if you use the right way and the right container.<br /><br />This guide will tell you how to store water long term safely, whether boiling water helps, the best containers to use and how to avoid contamination.<div><br /></div><div>So, <i>is it safe to store filtered water long-term</i>?</div><div><br /></div><div>Filtered water is cleaner than tap water as it removes dirt, sediments and some contaminants. They don't bite like bed bugs do; instead, they eat dead skin cells that are in household dust. The main problem they cause is that their waste and decaying body parts can cause allergic reactions.</p><p>Going back, multiple threads talk about <span data-end="76" data-start="42">plants that “absorb humidity.” </span>The idea usually comes from how plants interact with moisture, but the <span data-end="178" data-start="148">science is a bit different</span> from what those posts imply.</p><p>Plants take water from soil and release it through <span style="color: #6fa8dc;"><i><span data-end="346" data-start="305">Transpiration</span>.</i></span></p><p>
Because of this process, most plants actually <strong data-end="441" data-start="396">add a small amount of moisture to the air</strong>, especially leafy plants like <strong data-end="513" data-start="472">Pothos</strong><span data-end="513" data-start="472"> [my most favorite and low maintenance indoor plant]</span>.</p><p>Some plants can absorb moisture on their leaf surface, but the amount is very tiny compared to room humidity. That’s why they can’t function like a real dehumidifier.</p><p>A few plants are often mentioned online because they tolerate humidity well or don’t release much moisture:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Snake Plant</li><li>Peace Lily</li><li>Boston Fern</li><li>Tillandsia</li></ul><p></p><p>But even these won’t noticeably lower room humidity. For my real goal, which is to reduce bed mites, I will need to ensure these TWO important things:</p><p data-end="1235" data-start="1220"></p><ol style="text-align: left;"><li>They thrive at <strong data-end="1257" data-start="1238">70–80% humidity</strong></li><li>They struggle when humidity is <strong data-end="1310" data-start="1293">below ~50–55%</strong></li></ol><p></p><div>What actually reduces dust mites more effectively, other than having indoor plants: </div><div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Wash bedding weekly in hot water (≥60 °C)</li><li>Keep humidity around 45–55% if possible</li><li>Air circulation (your circulator helps a lot)</li><li>Sun-dry pillows/mattress occasionally</li><li>Dust and vacuum mattress/bed area</li></ul><div>Because I have 15 pothos, the plants might actually raise humidity slightly, not lower it. But my  windows plus the air circulator are probably balancing it well since I'm still at 57%. I Tried Using Plants to Reduce Humidity | Here’s What Actually Works for Dust Mites

<p>Most indoor comfort and building guidelines recommend <span data-end="158" data-start="129">30%–60% relative humidity</span>, so <span data-end="208" data-start="163">57% sits near the upper comfortable range</span>. Mold risk usually increases <span data-end="573" data-start="556">above ~65–70%</span> if it stays there constantly. </p><p>Indoor plants release moisture through a process called "transpiration," where water evaporates from the leaves. With <span data-end="511" data-start="498">15 pothos</span>, they <em data-end="522" data-start="518">do</em> add some moisture to the air, but your airflow setup balances it.</p><p data-end="1316" data-start="1202">Even <span data-end="1228" data-start="1207">20–25 houseplants</span> usually raise humidity by only <span data-end="1282" data-start="1257">~2–5% in a small room</span>, especially with air circulation.</p><p>
</p><p data-end="1417" data-start="1318">That means your <span data-end="1392" data-start="1334">57% probably would only drop to ~52–55% without plants</span>, which is still similar.</p><p>FACT: Plants sometimes mentioned online as “dehumidifying” only absorb tiny amounts of water compared with the moisture already in the air.</p><p data-end="614" data-start="495">However, some plants are often suggested because they <span data-end="576" data-start="549">don’t add much humidity</span> and tolerate humid environments well:</p><h3 data-end="657" data-section-id="1wxi4iu" data-start="616"><span style="color: #38761d;">P</span>lants that won’t raise humidity much</h3><ul data-end="1000" data-start="658">

Know your children's friends. <div>-"Know" [not like the stalky type of behavior that might push you off by your kids]. My mother always let us invite our friends into our home, whenever there's a group project or just for playtime. This is her way to know how we interact and how we behave. Parents should know who were the people their child interacts with, you may not know there could be someone else trying to befriend your child but they have another agenda for them. </div><div><br /></div><div>2. Never leave your child unattended. </div><div>-[this is very important!] I've seen parents with their phones, literally not minding their own child and freaked out when they've gone missing. You have to get your head straight and focus on your child whenever you are with them. </div><div><br /></div><div>3. Be involved in your child's activities.</div><div>-Most parents were having a hard time getting involved in their child's activities because of the experience and gap between the generations. I've seen children who do not want to ask anything about their studies or technology because they seem not confident with the capabilities of their parents [which is really sad]. Parents should not just be a guardian but also a best friend of their child even at a young age, interaction is always important.</div><div><br /></div><div>4. Listen when your child tells you he or she does not want to be with someone.</div><div><br /></div><div>5. Be sensitive to changes in your child's behavior or attitudes. </div><div>-Yes! Please do remember this one. Other parents don't have time to check on their kids, and their main reason was they're tired, busy, wanted to relax. They ignored the emotional needs of their children. I was bullied in grade school up until college, but it took a toll on me when I was in 4th-year high school, I suffer from depression and had a therapy when I was in college [without my mother knowing]. I prefer to keep it to myself because whenever I wanted to tell my problems to her, she doesn't seem interested and always focuses on her job and to her things. </div><div><br /></div><div>6. Pay attention when someone shows greater than normal interest in your child. </div><div><br /></div><div>7. Have your child fingerprinted and know where to locate dental records. </div><div>-This seems to be a lot of effort, but it will help you just in case something happened. </div><div><br /></div><div>8. Take a photograph of your child each year (4 times each year if under age 2)</div><div><br /></div><div>9. Be prepared to describe your children accurately - including clothing, visible identifying marks, or special characteristics. </div><div><br /></div><div>10. Develop a set procedure should you and your child become separated while away from home.</div><div><br /></div><div>11. Do not buy items that visibly display your child's name. </div><div>-It might attract molesters or kidnappers. Some children are too gullible to believe someone. </div><div><br /></div><div>12. Being a teenager who does not have much, even my mother can't support all my projects at that time. I have no choice but to look for a suitable job. I tried going on a freelance, getting projects, then there are multiple offers from my friends. Being a waitress at that time does not pay much, so I have to think of something else. </div><div><br /></div><div>I'm scared to be honest, maybe because of the rumors I've heard about their experiences in the call center industry. About having an active sex life, multiple relationships, unfaithful partners, struggles for promotion, too much peer pressure and so many more. On the second thought, the salary was okay. I do not mind all of these as long as I'm being paid.</div><div><br /></div><div>I was hired but I'm having mixed feelings, scared but excited. Scared because I'm going to be on another reality and I have to make sure that I'm able to pass my subjects even though I'm working full time in my work as a customer service representative. </div><div><br /></div><div>My first BPO company would not accept your application unless you prioritize the work and my university should be the one to adjust. There's no work-life balance, which they've been claiming from their online advertisements. Though I was accepted, I consulted my professors and told them about my concern, they're very understandable and let me go to their other class to catch-up. </div><div><br /></div><div>On the training, we were taught the basics of customer's greeting, using different tools, the do's and don'ts and so many more that overwhelmed me. </div><div><br /></div><div>As a communication student, I was able to use my listening skills and the way I respond to arguments. My experience with the training was just fine, the information [products and processes] are the ones difficult to analyze. </div><div><br /></div><div>They set your performance by the scores you get with the customers, which is hypothetically not 100 percent accurate. I'm also a customer and if I want to fake myself throughout the conservation I can do it even if you solve my concern, I can still give you a 0 for no reason, by a mistake or because the product itself pissed me off. And that could happen often!</div><div><br /></div><div>If you get a dissatisfaction score, they'll find mistakes every time [in every way]. But if you get a satisfactory score they won't mind it. [ahem]</div><div><br /></div><div>It's the same thing that happened on my Second BPO Company. Your scores determine your skills. Numbers are really important when it comes to this kind of business, and if you're a person who does not have much patience, then this job is not for you. </div><div><br /></div><div>Most people there, blunt about their past experiences or their position in the company. Showing the might of you-know-who-I-am-so-back-off kind of attitude. [not all but some]. I've seen leaders and dictators, I've seen fake people and the ones who have a pure heart and just wanted to work there for their family. </div><div><br /></div><div>There were these cases were team buildings and group lunch or dinner which is normal for any kind of company. If you're not attending one of those activities and you were invited, some will judge you for not being fun and friendly, which happened to me a couple of times because I have to study and I'm not really a person that would go out often. </div><div><br /></div><div>Also, working in this kind of industry gives me a hard time to look for another career, the whole story of me starting to work here is not my dream at all. I applied to multiple industries which I believe I'm fitted because of my skills, but because I have experience with BPO, these companies questioned me why am I applying for a different position or career that is too far from my experience, then they would accept other applications who do not have any BPO experience.</div><div><br /></div><div>I was judged numerous times. I know that most of the people working here do not have a healthy lifestyle. And my mother was worried that I could try drugs or even smoke, or drink liquors and beers [which I have not]. Maybe drinking beer but not often, occasionally. </div><div><br /></div><div>I was also told that the BPO industry is the home of "single-moms". It opened my eye to the reason behind why. After the shift, going to bars or clubs. Most of my friends did open up that they have sex with workmates, and that made me worried. Some of them have their own family, some of them just want to have one, but risking their health also their relationship was a big thing! </div><div><br /></div><div>The active sex life, which you can have a fuck buddy, but I do believe that this kind of thing also happens as long as you really want it to. [but I don't]</div><div><br /></div><div>I've been telling the not so good things and this is quite long! </div><div><br /></div><div>Well...I'm also glad that I've started working in the BPO industry, it opened my eyes to reality, how hard it is to be promoted, how difficult to get scores, you will not have any reviewer, you have to let your mind and heart to be strong for whatever the customer or supervisor will throw at you. </div><div><br /></div><div>This industry made me strong, a lot of issues arise while I'm working here, it was really difficult, but it made me wise to choose people, whom I'm going to befriend. </div><div><br /></div><div>My communication also improved, I began to be confident speaking in public or even through any types of medium. </div><div><br /></div><div>The salary is not questionable, you can really get as much as you want, depending on your performance. But career-wise, especially if you have other sets of skills, you'll think twice, if you're still uncontented with this job. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>

An eating disorder has been an issue with teens or even adults all over the world. Most of us don't even know that we already have it not until we get to consult a specialist and be diagnosed. <div><br /></div><div>It can be inadequate or excessive food intake which can ultimately damage an individual's well-being[<a href="https://www.eatingdisorderhope.com/information/eating-disorder">1</a>].<div><br /></div><div>I had a consult last 2017 when I gained weight of 67 kg. I was stressed out because of work, I've done some extreme measure, I went through yo-yo dieting that ruined the natural order of my body to protect me from gaining weight. </div><div><br /></div><div>I research a lot on how to lose weight fast, enroll myself to a gym, and get a fitness coach. But...I still thought it was not enough, I take supplements which should not be given to my sensitive body, I even go for laxatives, because I felt guilty whenever I'm eating even just one cup of rice. </div><div><br /></div><div>I also thought that giving myself a "cheat day" would suffice my cravings throughout the entire week. BUT IT GROW WHAT'S LACKING. </div><div><br /></div><div>It was not easy to accept that it was me who ruined my physique, my skin, my overall health. </div><div><br /></div><div>I was advised to stop taking too much caffeine, do not fast as it will not help. A lot of things jotted down for me to prevent, but I do not mind it. </div><div><br /></div><div>I was concerned with money, not thinking about myself. I depend too much on the genes of our family, being slim, and thought that I will not get chubby. [but I was wrong] I suffered from different diseases, like UTI and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease [gerd]. </div><div><br /></div><div>As of today, I'm still on the journey to discipline myself, to not eat a lot when I'm stress, instead to look for another way without ruining my health. </div><div><br /></div><div>Losing weight was never been easy. I have to connect all the dots to make sure that the things that I do, will not ruin my skin, my overall health. </div><div><br /></div><div>The struggle of fitting yourself in those pretty clothes and being able to walk confidently without any worry - I know that this is because of my insecurities. </div><div><br /></div><div>I've just accepted that being gluttony is a sin and I should be grateful and not ask for more. I am studying the right proportion for my body. Try to eat vegetables more. It did progress and I'm now 53kg. </div><div><br /></div><div>I was once 49kg, not too thin, just right for my body frame. I know, I know -- some of you will say 'Math is hard' Math is f***in difficult that even letters were there.<br />
<br />
I have also been through that, hating Math and thinking about not liking it for the rest of my life.<br />
<br />
Some of us were not that easy Bizzy to answer equations in the book, understand our teachers in adding and logarithmic equations, understanding the process of f****ng everything about Math.<br />
<br />
But did you know it benefits in your lives, in our lives?<br />
<br />
<br />
1.<b> Math let  us know how to count from 1-10 and make us smile from small things</b><br />
The most basic one, when we are kids (admit this one) you really love to say numbers 1,2,3 (haha) counting using your cute little fingers, which makes your parents or anyone sees you do that happy, they were very happy that you could already count !!<br />
<br />
2. <b>Math let us know how to count money, almost everything!!!</b><br />
Without Math of course! , we wouldn't know how to measure almost everything around us, even the height of your ideal one (na' just saying)<br />
<br />
3. <b>Math let us know how to get up for how many times we fail</b><br />
Psychologically speaking, subjects in our school teaches us a lesson, one of these is Math! , for how many times I, you, or they fail, I still believe that I will pass and make it!!<br />

4.<b> Math lets us know the true happiness of success!</b><br />
For how many times you fail from your exams, it changed you; you try hard and study hard, and when you got your score and it was satisfying or more than that -- you will just feel that true success and so much joy!!!<br />

Did you know math helps us to stimulate those nerves in your brain and keeps it working by thinking so hard, it helps us by means of making our brain active even at times of difficulty of understanding<br />

A movie that would take you back from the past during World War II. As a spectator, this movie let me feel how<b> to pity the world was</b> and somehow it is also<b> reflecting</b> the <b>generation of humanity today. </b><br />

There was this scene where the old man help Bruno yet his family doesn't want him to be closed to the old man. I remember the time when I was helping an old man, and the people that I know scolded me for helping them or believing in them.<br />

As for the setup of the movie, the lighting itself justified the old ambiance of it. Wherein this movie portrays the time during World War III. The logos of NAZI has been shown at the beginning of the movie.<br />

I can't come up with a good title for this blog post and I know that this is not a timely topic. I'm trying to focus my attention on how will I convey my message to you guys, that might inspire your life.<br />
<br />
It started when I've stayed in Manila, for the past few months because of my work and projects. I was in a hurry for a meeting, then GRAB and Uber was splurged, due to the fact that most of us don't want to be late or stuck in the traffic of EDSA.<br />
<br />
ANGKAS was there to save my day. Commuting was a hassle for me, though it saves you money for other things to buy for, your strength, patience and time were consumed just because of the traffic.<br />
<br />
Sometimes, you have to sacrifice your free time [the sleeping time I should say]. You have to go to work probably an hour or even more than that.<br />
<br />
Grab, Uber and Angkas made it easy. Though it might compromise other lines of business for public transportations.<br />
<br />
Although they serve a great purpose, not just for those people who do not want to be late, but for those who are unemployed and want to have extra income.<br />
<br />
One of the ANGKAS drivers I booked was a security guard of a bank. He told me that right after his duty, he didn't think about eating first, rather he is doing angkas to save more money for his family. He also told me that, his salary as a security guard was not enough to ensure the future of his kids, but because of ANGKAS, he was able to start saving money even with just a small amount.<br />
<br />
Then there was this ANGKAS driver who told me that he got rejected from job applications [BPO companies] and so when ANGKAS came, he grabs the opportunity right away, but with hesitation, because it will be a stranger and not his wife that will ride to his scooter all the way to a specific place. He is very happy that he was now able to provide for his family.<br />
<br />
I know that I sound biased in this blog post and I should always be fair. But somehow the perception of motorcycles to be the most dangerous vehicle is one the things that I want to change.<br />
Yes, the percentage of safety in transportation goes to four wheels, but I do also believe that it depends on the driver.<br />
<br />
I never had any safety issues with them. They teach me how to "angkas" properly since I don't know how to ride a motorcycle. They even offer me a face mask, so that I won't get to have so much dirt on my face or inhale that much smoke coming from the vehicles ['yung sa tambutso].<br />
<br />
There are laws that we have to consider, and I totally understand that, but I know it will be worth it.<br />
<br />
I believe having additional training for roads and safety, adding insurance for the people who will ride these motorcycles, [because you might not even know, even acts of God happens with no reason] making sure that every motorcycle was checked before they drive, even the helmets. These are the factors that might be considered [including the corrupt officials that do not want this kind of business to operate 👀] to be the process so that these <b>motorcycle businesses</b> can operate without any problem.<br />

Our topic for today is about... One of the weaknesses of a guy... Is a Lady, a girl or a  woman???<br />

I was just wondering how some of you guys say that we (woman) are one of your weaknesses??<br />
<br />
Is it because sometimes when you're making decisions, some of us tend to give a huge comment about it? Is it because some of your decisions may affect us? Is it because some of us tend to mind your own business? Is it because some of us are just inquisitive? Or maybe because of love?<br />
<br />
These are some of the questions that I was thinking, why you consider us as one of your weaknesses .. which is sometimes I don't really understand.<br />
<br />
I want to tell you a short story about my friend that tells me every time someone flirts him... The only reason he says "Girls are Man's weakness"<br />
<br />
At his office, while finishing his papers, his office mate (girl), tends to always show off in front of him or sometimes tend to do exaggerated actions that could lead him to do something to her (if you know what I mean - sexually).<br />
<br />
He always asks me what he can do, because he felt like he's about to give in to temptation.<br />
<br />
I told him that he must confront her honestly that he doesn't have time for mingling or flirting especially in the OFFICE! or maybe he could say that he doesn't like her that much(well that's an option if he doesn't really like the girl)...<br />
<br />
And then he said, He can't talk to the girl, because the girl is so aggressive and the girl is so flirty and blah blah blah blah .. which is I said to him to finish up those excuses of his. Why you can't do that, I know it's not simple maybe .. but you must .. if you do not want to have a one night stand or something to that girl. And then he replied, "Ye' know, Every woman is a man's weakness"<br />

And I was like WT*<br />
<br />
Well, all I can say is .. I don't think that sometimes you consider us as your weakness but the action that we may do in front of you that could lead up to something can be your weakness; the words that we tell you that could really make you say .. Ah... She's my weakness. And other factors such as physical aspect and mental aspect. [but I'm still confused] 👀<br />
